On July, 18 three stages of the Youth Political Forum Seliger-2010 have been closed: Zvorykinskaya (for young scientists), Enterpreneurship (for young businessmen), Informpotok (for young journalists).

There are no independent media in Russia! Russia Today Chief Editor Margarita Simonyan at the Seliger Forum

On July 21 the Chief Editor of "Russia Today" channell Margarita Simonyan has visited Seliger Forum. The meeting was in form of questions and answers.

There are no independent media in Russia! - Margarita says. For example Russia Today is primary affected by Russian Government.
Margarita has started her carrier as a journalist in the regional media. As a result of her talant she grew to the Chief Editor of media channell. Margarita do not believe in the future of papers and usual TV as a result of that internet has a lot of advantages now.

As a conclusion Margarita advised us to get experience working on any media and study English. Imagine her first wage of journalist was $6 per month!

Youth "Nashi" against drivers (video): Seliger activists at Tver (Russia)

On the 23th of July there were two social activities made by "Nashi" and "Stal". Youth struggled against those drivers who park in non-allowed road places. These events were in Tver on the streets.
The name of action is "Stop Ham" (in English - stop lout).

Scuffle with "Nashi" and "Molodaya Gvardiya" at the Seliger

On July 22 on 21:00 at the Youth Education Forum Seliger-2010 scuffle occurred with participation of social organisations "Nashi" and "Molodaya Gvardiya". About 2500 people were at one place seeing this.

According to eyewitness "Nashi" started rowdyism against another organisation "Mestnye" because last occupied their place near of the main stage of the Forum. Later representatives of social organisations "Molodaya Gvardiya" and "Stal" also participated at the scuffle. As a result of this some girls were seriously damaged.

On the next day the Head of "Nashi" organisation has apologized for the incident.

Chechen delegation has left Russian Youth Forum Seliger-2010

Chechen delegation participates in the Russian Youth Education Forum "Seliger-2010" for more than 20 days. However, some of Chechen representatives were not allowed to stay at forum for the rest 10 days. Chechen delegation completed all the necessary tasks however forum administration prohibitted them to stay here longer.

Last 10 days of the Seliger Forum are divided into 2 parts - "Leadership" and "Kindness Technology". "Kindness Technology" is for volunteers and volunteership organisations. "Leadership" is for political education of Russian Youth. A lot of representatives from Russian youth political organisations "Nashi" and "Stal" are presented at "Leadership" stage. "Leadership" camp program educates participants how to create political actions etc.

Part of Chechen representatives have been invited to "Kindness Technology" but Chechen have not been invited to political part - "Leadership". Every participant of "Leaderdship" should create his own film about the veteran of the Second World War. According to the Head of Chechen delegation their delegation has created more than 100 films despite on that number of representatives is 40. Chechen people were active on forum and participated in all the activities and were rewarded many times for this.

According to one of leaders of Chechen delegation this situation repeats year-to-year. After talking with Government of Chechnya Chechen delegation has left the Seliger Forum on July 20.

On July 22 President of Ingushetiya Yunus-Bek Evkurov has visited youth forum Seliger and commented this issue. Presiden has a good opinion about the forum. But he say that government of Chechnya should investigate the reason of this event and make a conclusion for the next year. Please see the video below

Marriage at the Seliger Forum

Today on July 18 five pairs of young people decided to get married at the International Forum for Youth - Seliger-2010. Tradition of marriage at this Forum is being launched for a number of years. We were speaking with one beautiful pair - Yulia and Kolya. They are so happy and plan having children in the nearest time!

All the Seliger Forum delegations congratulated married people. Young pairs received a lot of gifts including an auto and a flat! Flowers flyied above the scene and some girls catched the flower! Thise girls according to tradition should find a husband next year at the Seliger Forum!
